QRF is a peer-support application designed to connect veterans with nearby volunteers in times of need. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

How We Use Information

Your phone number is used to send SMS alerts when a nearby user requests support. When you submit your own support request, your name and phone number are shown to nearby users of the app so they can see that you need help and reach out to you directly — this is how QRF connects you with peer support. Your street address, city, state, zip code, and shirt size are used solely to fulfill your free QRF T-shirt if you opt in to receive one. We do not use your information for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your Data, Your Control

You can permanently delete your account and all associated profile information at any time from within the app, under Account → Delete Account. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.

SMS Communication

By registering in the QRF app, you consent to receive SMS messages related to peer-support alerts. Consent is collected during account registration via an in-app agreement before account creation is completed. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

This service is not used for marketing communications.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information, including mobile phone numbers, with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is shared only with our SMS delivery provider solely to send peer-support alerts. Your shipping details are used internally only to fulfill your free T-shirt if you opt in, and are never shared with outside third parties.

The one exception is your own support requests: submitting a request is how QRF works, so your name and phone number are shown to nearby users of the app so they can respond. This is visibility within the app between peers, not sharing with an outside third party, and only happens when you actively submit a request.

Opt-Out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can reply HELP for assistance.
